Customized Map for Your Home:

Two Models to Choose From:
Labrador Retriever
The Labrador Retriever is our full-featured model, designed to provide the most flexibility for individuals in their home.
The Retriever has ALL of the features of the Caddie, PLUS:

Labrador Caddie
The Labrador Caddie is our entry-level robot. It is designed for individuals who would like assistance with moving large loads and keeping items within reach, but do not need the robot to lift or retrieve items on its own.
The Caddie has ALL of these features:

The Caddie shares the same chassis, payload, navigation and core safety features as the Retriever. (In other words, it’s a super-advanced robot just by itself.)
The Caddie operates at a fixed height:
- with the top deck set 30 inches (standard table/desk height)
- and the lower deck at 17 inches
The Caddie cannot retrieve items on its own and is not equipped to work with the automatic tray retrieval system.
Accessories
Removable Tablet Stand
We plan to offer a tablet stand that can hold up to an 8-inch tablet and fits onto the Retriever or Caddie. (image shows concept only)
You can remove the stand to make room for larger loads when needed. A USB power port on the upper deck of the robot will let you plug in your tablet and keep it charged.
Refrigerator
(Beverage Size – Exclusively for the Retriever)
The Retriever is designed to work with other products going forward, like the example of the refrigerator we show in our intro video.
We plan to work with a 3rd party manufacturer to offer a beverage-sized refrigerator that will be compatible with the Retriever.
Our goal is to offer a refrigerator that:
- Holds two separate trays for retrieval
- Features a power door that opens and closes
- Includes a wireless link to the Retriever
3rd Party Touch Screen Tablet
We also plan to offer a bundle where you can purchase a tablet with your stand that runs standard apps as well as Labrador’s app for interacting with the robot.
Extra Labrador Trays and Pallets (for the Retriever only)
For the Retriever, you can expand your storage and delivery options with extra retrievable trays and pallets.

FAQ
Our robots can operate on a variety of floor surfaces, which can include area rugs, carpets and floor transitions.
Some area rugs may need to be secured to the floor, such as with carpet tape, to prevent the rugs from moving and/or the edges of the rugs rolling up. Loose mats without secure backing should be removed from active pathways.
Our robots may not be suited for certain surfaces, including steep floor transitions and thresholds that exceed ADA requirements, or carpeting with thick pile and/or thick padding.
No. Our robots are intended to operate on a single-level floor.
All of our robots include sensors designed to detect and avoid stairs. We recommend you follow all guidelines in the user manual, especially around any noted hazard(s) in your home.
The first generation of Labrador robots is for indoor use only.
We will be publishing a detailed user guide and safety instructions as we get closer to production.
As a guiding principle, our robots should always be used under the supervision of an adult who is familiar with its operation and safety features.
Our plan is to work with local installers to deliver Labrador robots into homes.
(Note: in-home delivery may not be available in your area depending on where we have service coverage. We will be paying special attention to the zip codes we see among our Early Reservation customers and taking their location into account as we set up our service network.)
Once your robot is delivered, you can set up a time to have a Labrador technician remotely train the robot on its map of your home. (currently requires WiFi and broadband internet service in your home.)
You enable the training session from your app – and our technician will work with you to customize the robot’s delivery routes and destinations (“bus stops”) based on your preferences.
As part of the subscription package available for Early Reservation customers, you can have our technicians update your map as well as add or change bus stops while your subscription is active.
We also plan to provide an app that will enable you to edit and adjust your robot’s bus stops yourself once we’ve trained the robot on your home.
One of the key features of Labrador’s technology is that the processing for the robot’s autonomous systems (including navigation) runs on the robot’s internal computers.
That’s important, as it means that you can limit what type of information the robot shares once it’s trained. As an example, you can disconnect the robot from WiFi and the Internet and just use a local Bluetooth connection from your tablet or a smart button to command it.
You can also enable the robot to connect and stream more information, like video, in certain modes, such as during training, but that access is controlled by you.
We will provide more detail on the types of data that are involved in different modes of operation as we get closer to production.
We are interested in what people think about the design of the Retriever and Caddie. Our plan is to offer two wood grain laminate finishes, but we’d love to hear what other styles people would like to see.
